Paphos, sometimes spelled Pafos, is a coastal city in the southwest of Cyprus, sheltered from the north by Troodos mountains and the capital of Paphos District. In antiquity, two locations were called Paphos: Old Paphos, today at Kouklia, and New Paphos.
